IEEE HARDWARE HACKATHON
User Interface - Website
At the end of 2016, IEEE U of T Electronics Chapter decided to create an independent website for the second IEEE Hardware Hackathon. I took the role of designing the user interface and creating all graphics for the website.
This website attracted 60 registrations with resumes and deposits within 24 hours after launching.
Designing a website for the first time, I discussed thoroughly with the event directors about everything we were concerned, and did further research on UI design and several Hackathon websites from different schools. Eventually, I chose the dark blue gradient that matches IEEE's theme color and created the triangular network pattern as a theme.
The graphic was made on a long sheet that contains 5 pages in 1 column so that I could make patterns continues when the web page is scrolled down.

The consistency is what I am satisfied with, but the font, layout, and resolution were taken charge of by the webmaster, which was beyond my control. In order to perfect the details as well as the overall branding image, I am planning to self-teach HTML so that next time I will take full control and bring the web design to a next level.
